One day in 1985, while living a happy 'ex-patriot' life in Bangladesh, Vassula Ryden started to write a shopping list. But instead, she found her hand writing: "I AM YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL AND MY NAME IS DANIEL" Since then, Vasulla has been receiving messages which she writes down into simple Notebooks, over 100 so far. Since the first publication of the writings in English in 1990, the work has been translated into nearly forty languages and has given rise to a widespread following.
